Zeitz MOCAA Gala 2026

join us in celebrating the artistic excellence of africa and its diaspora

We are honoured to present the Zeitz MOCAA Gala 2026, taking place on Friday, 20 February at 5 pm at the museum.

One of the most anticipated events in the cultural calendar, the Gala is an elegantly dazzling evening where artists, patrons, philanthropists, collectors, and cultural luminaries gather to celebrate African art, culture, and community. As our annual fundraiser, the Gala plays a vital role in securing the museum’s future. Proceeds from the Gala directly benefit the museum’s curatorial and education programming, enabling the institution to conceive and host international exhibitions; expand access through educational, discursive and enrichment programmes; encourage intercultural understanding; and ensure access for all.

This year’s Gala carries particular resonance as it is the first since the passing of our beloved Executive Director and Chief Curator, Koyo Kouoh. Her spirit and vision remain deeply woven into the fabric of Zeitz MOCAA, and the impact of her leadership continues to guide the work we do.
